James Dobson [the Radical Right Wingnut] has told several D[emocratic] senators that he will target them for defeat if they do not vote "yes" [to place Samuel Alito on the Supreme Court] . At least two such Senators have asked the Democratic community to give them political "cover" -- i.e., a way to do what they want to do on Alito without giving ammunition to far-right, out-of-state groups to use in campaign ads against them. There's still an hour left, people, to call your senators. Urge them to "support the filibuster against Sam Alito," to "Vote 'no' on cloture, or, failing that, to at least abstain from voting."
