I think people have to save the world, but if there is a lack in the world today, it's of an ability to nurture one another rather than to be competitive or attempt to dominate (too often to the point of engaging in war).
Women's education, birth control, feeding the poor, supporting the downtrodden, and working to preserve the environment, all seem to me more Goddess-based activities. And I do believe they can help save the world.
She IS the world. The question is, are we going to get back in synch with Her and save ourselves, or are we going to continue to be a cancer in Her body that Her immune system has to destroy to survive. She's not going anywhere, but we might very well be...
