Wow! I have a cover! I am covered!
Well, not really. Not anymore. Because now, partly at least, you know what Athana's "real" name is.
But since I haven't decided yet whether to put my full name on the cover of this book, you'll just have to buy a copy to get the full scoop.
To buy Switching on Amazon.com or at www.O-Books.com, go to either site on or after November 28 -- the day the book makes its grand debut.

Is that November 28, 2008? I have a book coming out this year too! But yours sure has a prettier cover. That is simply stunning. Congratulations!
Brava! I love it - I'm so looking forward to having a copy in my hot little hands!
Love the cover and I am looking forward to buying and reading :) the book.
I already know Goddess so I won't be buying a copy, but good luck with the sales.
anne, have you told us yet on your blog what your newest book's about? And the title? When it's out?
Paul, when o-Books asked me what I'd suggest for the cover, I said a beautiful, smiling, happy goddess rising toward the top of the cover, and a warty, sour, dour-looking god sinking to the bottom.
I told my brothers I'd been expecting a rounder, older, smiling goddess for the cover, and that I didn't know what to think about this one.
My brothers said young and thin will sell the book (and I know they're right).
Then I came to the conclusion that the cover woman isn't the Goddess at all. She's a 21st-century priestess looking at the sad shape of the war-god world she's living in, and musing about plans to move it back to Goddess.

Ha ha, good one. Congrats on the cover and your upcoming book, I'm looking forward to it.
Yay! Well done Athana!

Athana, as you know there are folk like me who would buy your book whatever the cover and there are others who will be persuaded to buy because the cover speaks to them. I think your brothers are right :)
I particularly like the sun close to the horizon - the setting of old ways and the rising of hope for the future.
congrats! I will buy it. I've been following this blog for years and will be happy and excited to. -Erin
