Poor Athena!

Good article on what the patriarchy did to the Greek Goddesses. Here's a snippet:

"In 458 BC, [Athena] blatently rejects her mother Metis in Aeschylus's Oresteia , as she also justifies the priority of men over women; 'It is my task to render final judgment here...There is no mother anywhere who gave me birth...
