Traveling WITH THE GODDESS

Karen Tate asked me to let you know about her 2008 Sacred Goddess tours to Paris and Turkey.

I hafta admit, after reading her tour descriptions (HERE and HERE) my mouth’s watering. Gathering around old goddess places with a group of like-minded people, and with an ordained priestess of the Goddess (i.e., Karen) to guide us? Oh, my!

Karen’s lead tours all over the world. She’s the author of Sacred Places of Goddess: 108 Destinations, which I highly recommend for a worldwide grounding in the history of the Goddess.

The TURKEY Tour: October 15-28, 2008

Did you know Turkey used to be called “Nourishing Mother”? I didn’t.

“…Few places,” says Karen, “offer so many exciting activities and varied sacred sites of the Goddess [as Turkey]. Visit temples of Athena, Aphrodite, Cybele, Mary and Isis. Stand in the temples of Artemis, including outside Ephesus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Explore Hecate’s only standing temple and the famous Neolithic site of Çatal Hoyuk. No longer swept beneath the sands of time, Goddess sites come alive on our journey, giving you the rare opportunity to connect with the Divine Feminine among Her ancient stones, on Her still potent sacred soils.”

The PARIS Tour: May 23-30, 2008

Did you know Paris has hidden places where the Goddess used to be?

In Paris, says Karen, “Goddess Spirituality [is] hidden in plain sight…. From her newly defined sacred place, the Louvre Museum, visit her many faces embraced across continents…. Wonder at Mary Magdalene’s temple in the heart of Paris…. Uncover places once sacred to Isis, the Druids, and Celts. Visit a sacred well beneath a cathedral replete with symbols and imagery of Goddess from a past long forgotten…. Meditate on the ancient roots of the Black Madonna and the Blessed Virgin…. Contemplate controversial sites made famous in The DaVinci Code.”

BTW, both men and women are welcome on both tours.
