Well, here’s thrilling news: The Taliban is contributing 100 kilos of gold to any dude able to off a Danish drawer of the Mohammed cartoons, and a Pakastani jewelers association has promised another $1,000,000.
“One of the 12 Danish cartoonists who drew the caricatures has told a German newspaper he now faces at least two death threats, saying all 12 cartoonists were under police protection.”(“Son, forget about cartooning. Why not go into something safer -- like bronco busting or the demolition derby?”)

What is it going to take to get people to stop thinking they have the right to kill someone they disagree with? I know the answer to that question - it's going to take some abstract thinking that will make people admit that they might be wrong - but I can't figure out how we get to it.
I still wonder if the answer lies in getting mothers across the world to see that if they let their babies grow up in warrior-god religions, then their babies are going to *die* in warrior-god wars.
I like the idea of repeating ad nauseum the fact that we are dealing with *warrior* gods, here, and PRIMITIVE warrior gods at that. Primitive gods cooked up when people lived in primitive and brutish nomadic desert tribes.
The warrior gods were invented when people had reverted to a primitive, barbaric way of life. The Mother-Goddess peoples preceding them were so much more successful and complex, with their multi-storied buildings, their indoor plubming, their sophisticated art, their ocean-going ships, their ability to keep everyone healthy and prosperous.
Starting with the mothers is always a good idea. Now, how to do it?
