HAPPY dying-GOD DAY

I don’t know why Christians think they have a monopoly on the dying-god business.  The world is awash in dying gods:

SHORT LIST OF DYING GODS 

The God Osiris (Egypt) 

The God Attis (Anatolia) 

The God Odin (Scandinavia) 

The God Iarilo (Russia) 

The God Dionysos (Greece) 

The God Baal (Ugaritic Canaan) 

The God Melgart (Phoenicia) 

The God Eshmun (Phoenicia) 

The God Adonis (Canaan) 

          The God Balder (Scandinavia)

The God Jesus (Rome) 

It’s gods who die, notice, never goddesses (goddesses are too important to die?). 

Anyway, happy Dying-God Day to Christians.  We love you (we don’t love your war-god religion, though, and wish you would pitch it fast onto the scrap heap of dying and dead religions). 

Not sure if this is the day of dying for Osiris, Attis, et al., but happy Dying-God Day to all of you too, whenever your day comes.
