"McCain 'Proud' of Endorsement From John Hagee, Who Calls Catholics 'The Great Whore.' Where's Tim Russert Now?"Huffington Post
Makes me bite my nails and sweat bullets to think there are actually dudes out there walking upright who think McCain could win the White House. What do they know I don't? After eight years of Dubya, how could "Bush Light" possibly turn anyone's head?

thnx to Air America and Rachel Maddow for the foto
Apparently McCain's not the only candidate with this type of affilation. I don't want to burst anyone's bubble--and I know that many readers of this blog are Hillary supporters, but maybe that's all the more reason to be aware of Hillary's association with a right wing Christian group called "The Family." Here are 3 links. You can just pick one to go to as they all give similar info.

hi, yes imafeminist. I've known about Hillary's association with The Family for a while now, and count it as a serious strike against her. However, I think McCain and Obama have even more serious strikes against them, so, as always in election years, we go with the best we can get.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it's my impression that as right-wing Christian groups go, The Family is bad -- but not quite as bad as groups that, for example, call Catholics "The Great Whore," or that call for war, stonings, the death penalty for juvenile delinquents, dumping our democracy for a theocracy, etc.
