This weblog is dedicated to the Goddess and to saving the planet -- by gently replacing God the Father with God the Mother by the year 2035. Too simplistic? Nope, I don't think so. Female deities are role models for unconditional love. Violent sky/war gods are dangerous, to men as well as women. People are biologically programmed to need religion of one kind or another. (BTW, "thea"=Goddess, "theo"=god)

JESUS NEEDS TO Smile MORE
Jesus is a cool dude. He’s kind. He’s generous. U feel u can trust him. He has a gorgeous head of hair (I love long hair on dudes) -- and he keeps it clean.
But the dude is wound so tight! He needs color in his wardrobe, needs to get out on the dance floor more, get down, boogie some.
And he could learn to smile. (Does Jesus have teeth? Who’d know?!?) The Goddess gave women men to make women happy and laugh. Men can be darned funny. Jesus needs to store a few good jokes in his back pocket, pull ‘em out every once in a while and wow us with ‘em.
And he needs to ditch that bogus, boogieman, son-butchering war-god Jehovah, and get back to The Great Mother -- the parent who *really* loves him.
Where would he have been without his Mama?
ReplyDeleteI shudder to think!
ReplyDeleteCuz his daddy was a meanie.
ReplyDeleteBig-time meanie.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to have the biggest, baddest GodFather of all time for a daddy. Look what happened to Michael Corleone.
ReplyDeleteGodfather "I made him an offer he couldn't refuse."
If this isn't reminiscent for you, go rent the trilogy!
Jesus said that the Son does nothing but what he has learned by observing the Father. However you slice that the implications are significant =)
ReplyDeleteYes, holy heretic, we humans have a choice: the GodFather a la Michael Corleone, or the GodMother a la Cinderella's loving, spiritual helper.
ReplyDeleteUmmm...(thinking, thinking, thinking)....I'll take the compassionate woman with the wand and the pumpkin coach. Do you think the prince can be brought over to the Goddess camp?
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm praying for Fairy Goddess Mother to send some unperplexed Goddess friendly visitors, with comments, over to my blog. Will She answer? Only time (but not too much time, please Goddess,) will tell.
Good choice holy h! Actually, the prince was a symbol for humankind. See our Aug. 12 post on Cinderella.
ReplyDeleteYou make me smile, Athana - if there ever was such a person as Jesus, I think he'd get a kick out of this, too.
