New Orleans Mayor Issues 'Desperate SOS'
NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Fights and fires broke out, corpses lay out in the open, and rescue helicopters and law enforcement officers were shot at as flooded-out New Orleans descended into anarchy Thursday. ''This is a desperate SOS,'' the mayor said.

Unbelievably, the Mayor has given up trying to find Bush, and has sent his SOS plea to the Associated Press. Meanwhile, Air America reports that Bush failed not only forward, but backwards as well:
Money To Repair Breached Levees Was Diverted to Iraq War
"It appears that the money has been moved in the president’s budget to handle homeland security and the war in Iraq, and I suppose that’s the price we pay.
