pack IT UP & leave IT ON YOUR PORCH

I can’t help it, I get a bit peeved at climate-change deniers.

Scientists -- you know, the dudettes and dudes who invented spaceships, heart transplants, and Google glasses -- agree that the Earth is on a fast-track to the dog house unless we do something about climate change.

So what’s holding us back?

Climate-change deniers.

Are you a climate-change denier?  Please sign:

“I promise to give my food, water and electricity to others when climate shrinks earth's resources to destitution levels.”

FAR out! FAR, FAR OUT

Before birth, where do we come from?  From the warm, loving womb of the Great Mother, yes – but how did we get there in the first place?

By returning there the last time we died?

Or does She form each of us once only?

This of course is the reincarnation question.  What exactly does the Goddess community believe, here?

ditching THE DREGS

Children, the male war gods have got to go.  Time to pitch them on the garbage pile on top of your old, cold coffee grounds.

We’ve allowed the war gods (Jehovah, Allah, Yahweh, Mars, Zeus, Ares, Indra, etc.) a few cold millennia to prove themselves, and they have proven that war gods produce war. (Name one decade clean of wars, and I’ll give you my sister’s first-born [I have no first-born, but Jo might be willing to part with hers]).

Here’s the thing, though:  no society ever known has been religion-less.   The need for religion seems built into the human heart and soul.

Anyone who can spout off answers to these questions has religion:
“Where did we come from before we were born?”
“Where do we go after we die?”
“Why are we here?”
Here’s how atheists (with their Religion of Science) answer:
Where did we come from?  “32c worth of chemicals.”
Where do we go after we die?  “Back to 32c worth of chemicals.”
Why are we here?  “One reason only: to study everything, dissect it, know it from the inside out.”
So we need to replace war gods with something.  And it should be as obvious as warblers warbling in spring that it needs to be peace deities.

WONDER WOMAN: GODDESS in disguise

All this nonsense about Wonder Woman being an Amazon warrior princess -- it was just to disguise her real identity, the Mother Goddess of Us All, who fights evil “not with fists or firepower, but with love.”

Why?  To keep us, her brood of babies, as safe as safe can be.

And the Mother Goddess thought she could pull the wool over our eyes!

Ha!  We knew all along who you really were, WW!  And we absolutely adore you, like children always adore their mothers (especially if Mother is a loving, healthy human being).

BTW, it was Elizabeth Marston who brought us the Mother Goddess Wonder Woman:  Elizabeth's husband William Moulton Marston, "a psychologist already famous for inventing the polygraph (forerunner to the magic lasso), struck upon an idea for a new kind of superhero, one who would triumph not with fists or firepower, but with love. ‘Fine,’ said Elizabeth. ‘But make her a woman.’"

One of The Most Important Books I Have Ever Read.

A review by Sapphire19:

I am not exaggerating by saying Switching to Goddess is one of the most important books I have ever read. It traces the Goddess as She has been worshipped throughout human history - and deftly illustrates the enormous ramifications for societies that follow Her guidance versus those that have been shaped by beliefs in patriarchal, hierarchical gods. The author, J. Lyn Studebaker, brings to life a deity that is a warm, loving, healthy, all-embracing, compassionate Mother Goddess, a stark contrast to not only the war-gods but even the war-goddesses of ancient and modern civilizations.
SNIP
I loved Studebaker's style of writing - well researched and informative, yet also fun and irreverent.
SNIP
Best of all is the hope that lies throughout the book, especially at the end as Studebaker illustrates how the Goddess has never really left and has been brought down to us through ancient and modern times under various guises (including Jesus's mother, Mary)....

SWITCH OR die, WHAT’LL IT BE?

If humanity doesn’t switch back to its old mother goddesses soon, it will lolligag on down the road after the dinosaurs to extinction.

Today the world falls on its knees in front of war gods: Jehovah, Allah, Yahweh, Indra, Odin (Wodan), Mars, Ares.  When they worshiped gods, China and Japan too worshipped war gods: Huangdi and Hachiman.

When you worship war gods, you do war.

Something called Starvation Culture gave rise to the first institutionalized war and war deities.  When the deserts of North Africa and Central Asia formed ca 4000 BC, many of the world’s first farmers starved to death.  A new way of life sprang up, one based on fear of never having enough – food, water, women, love, pocket change -- whatever.

The result?  The birth of institutionalized taking-behavior: stealing, warring, raping, enslaving – these are all the same thing: taking what doesn’t belong to you, out of a subconscious, irrational fear of never having enough.

The fix?  Sacking Starvation Culture and its deities.  Coming home to deities pushing Love Culture, which says ya treat everyone the way healthy mothers treat their kids.

HOW TO fix EVERYTHING

When the world weans itself off war gods, and lines up again with Goddesses (ones who love us like healthy mothers love their children), all will be happy and healthy again.
